To Calculate the amount of water used on a typical day, take the average amount of water used for each activity and multiply by the number of times you use water for that purpose. It may help to keep a water diary for a day recording the number of uses on a piece of paper. You may be surprised at the number of times your family flush the toilet or wash your hands.
