What do you love about your job?
It's great being out and about all day and interacting with the public, it could be giving them advice or helping them with their new homes!
How have you developed in your role?
Reading meters in different areas has helped me become the senior meter reader of the team. I’ve built a vast knowledge of where meters are so I’m able to help others find them when they’re unable to.
What makes your job different?
Being out and about all day means I get to interact with the public in various ways. It could be giving them advice or helping locate their external stopcocks. I also get to help reduce the amount I use my van reducing my carbon footprint as I work out where I am going to be working, park up and walk a lot.
What advice would you give to someone considering a career with Portsmouth Water?
